The collaboration will include carrying out research and advocacy to influence increased access to open data in agriculture and nutrition, co-convening workshops and events designed to build capacity in African governments and strengthening open data ecosystems to support African Union countries in making evidence-informed decisions to boost food and nutrition security.
“We are delighted to sign this MOU with GODAN to ensure that we are able to support the efforts of African governments in making evidence-informed policies in agriculture and nutrition driven by open data,” said Muchiri Nyaggah, Chief Executive Officer of LDRI.
According to the MOU, LDRI and GODAN shall design and implement projects and programs to strengthen evidence-informed decision making to ensure that African governments and their smallholder farmers can boost productivity and strengthen food and nutrition security.
